Volkswagen Tiguan Shares Stage With B-town Celebs Including Farhan Akhtar And Akshay Kumar

Volkswagen was the brand sponsor of this year’s HT Most Stylish Awards, and hence the Tiguan was representing the marque at the red carpet

HT Most Stylish Awards is an event ceremony that appreciates and awards various Indian figures based on different parameters that predominantly revolve around fashion. For this year’s iteration, Volkswagen was the official brand sponsor for the event, and as a result, the carmaker had the Tiguan making its presence known at the event.

At an event as prestigious as this, it only makes sense for the carmaker to showcase its flagship product and the Tiguan doesn’t let the marque down. The SUV looks part of the ceremony and feels at home as a host of celebrities got papped in front of the vehicle.

Riteish Deshmukh and his wife Genelia D'Souza posed with wide smiles in front of the car as did Farhan Akhtar, Richa Chadda and Ali Fazal.

In India, the Tiguan is available in a sole Elegance trim, which is powered via a 190PS 2-litre turbo-petrol engine. It is paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission which drives all four wheels of the SUV.

Being a flagship offering, the features list is anything but sparse and comprises an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car tech, a digital driver’s display, 30-colour ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, tri-zone climate control, and powered driver’s seat with memory function. Six airbags, ABS with EBD, tyre pressure monitoring, and reversing camera are a few safety features on offer.
