We’ve seen manufacturers use various strategies to keep the buzz going, and Tata Motors came up with a rather innovative one to promote its compact sedan, the Zest. The manufacturer has just attempted a record for the highest number of single brand cars in a convoy with the Zest to etch its name in the Asia Book of Records. The rally was organised for Zest owners in Pune, and witnessed participation from 154 owners who turned up on Sunday morning. The drive was split into three batches, and was held on the outskirts of Pune city, and though short, it has helped Tata Motors make a valid attempt.
Prior to this the manufacturer has organised several other events to engage its customers, like the ‘Get Set Bolt’, a mileage run for Bolt customers and a similar mileage rally for Zest owners. Tata Motors has been on an offensive of late, and is feverishly trying to revamp its image as a younger, more fun car maker as compared to what it was perceived until not long ago. It’s newer lot of products like the Zest, Bolt and the upcoming Zica all echo its endeavour to gain popularity with the younger lot of car buyers.
