The main change for this S-Cross is in its heart. Gone is the Fiat-sourced 89PS 1.3-litre diesel engine and in comes a new 105PS 1.5-litre petrol engine. And for the first time, the India-spec S-Cross will come with an automatic transmission, a 4-speed torque converter, which will be sold alongside the 5-speed manual transmission. This motor will also be coupled to a mild-hybrid system for start stop and torque boost functionalities.

The only other change this car will receive is Maruti’s updated 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and possibly a revised MID. Features like climate control, cruise control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry with push button start and LED headlamps will be retained. On the safety front, it will come with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.
