Prices of the Maruti Brezza Black Edition are out.
Pearl Midnight Black colour option costs the same as other single-tone shades.
All Arena cars, except Alto 800, get this new colour.
Only the upper ZXI and and ZXI+ trims get the black colour option in the Brezza.
Similarly, the black shade should be limited to the top variants of other models.
Black edition cars get no other changes apart from the new colour.
After years of only offering popular colour options in its cars, Maruti is truly warming up to black in 2023. The carmaker had introduced Black Editions of its NEXA lineup back in January 2023, and now, Maruti is bringing the Pearl Black Midnight option to (most of) its Arena lineup as well.
For now, we only have the prices of the Maruti Brezza’s Black Edition, and the colour option comes in at the same cost as the other single-tone paint options.
Maruti is offering the black colour option with most of its Arena cars, except the entry-level Alto 800 and the commercial-use-oriented Eeco van. Here’s a list of all Arena the models that get the black paint option:
Alto K10
Wagon R
S-Presso
Celerio
Swift
Dzire
Brezza
Ertiga
Keep in mind that the black paint option could be limited to the higher-spec or top-spec variants only, like Maruti’s NEXA offerings.
The Black Edition is exclusive to the ZXI and ZXI+ trim levels of the Brezza, but is offered in both manual and automatic transmission variants. Even the top-spec newly launched CNG-equipped Brezza, the ZXI CNG, gets the black paint option.

According to the currently available prices, the Brezza Black Edition is priced the same as other single-tone paint options. Dual-tone variants with a contrast-coloured roof cost Rs 16,000 more.
Apart from the paint colour, the Maruti Black Edition vehicles don’t get any other changes inside or out. This is unlike Tata’s Dark Edition range that gets blacked trim bits, alloys and interior as well.
The black paint option is a cool addition to Maruti’s already good-looking cars. You may have to jump a trim level or two to get your Maruti in black, but on the plus side, you won’t be paying any more than what you would for the respective single-tone variants.
