The Thar will get three roof options for the first time: a convertible soft top, fixed hard top, and fixed soft top.
It will be powered by two engines: a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel.
Six colour options spread out across the three trims and their respective variants.
The Thar is set for an October 2 launch.
As we get closer to the October 2 launch of the new Mahindra Thar, more and more details about the SUV are being disclosed. The most recent reveal gives us information on the variant-wise colour options for the Thar.

The colour options are spread out across the different combinations of roof, engine and transmission choices for these trims. Here are the variant-wise options to make things easier:

In total, the Thar comes with a choice of six colours: Red Rage, Napoli Black, Galaxy Grey, Rocky Beige, Aqua Marine, and Mystic Copper. While the entry-spec AX trim only gets two of the options, the mid-spec AX Optional and top-spec LX trims get a choice of all colour options, except for the LX hard top variant which does not come in black.

Compared to its predecessor, the new Thar gets a bunch of added features that no longer restrict it to a barebones off-road SUV. That, along with the new roof options, petrol engine, and automatic transmission make the Thar that much more desirable.

The Thar is expected to be priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 13.5 lakh. Right from the time of its launch, the Thar will be pitted against the BS6 Force Gurkha which is set to launch around the same time.
