For a rookie driver in Formula 1, Nico Hulkenberg had quite a season in 2010. Having signed up to partner Rubens Barrichello over at Williams, the young German showed a lot of skill at the wheel of the FW32. His year in F1 culminated in an unrivalled display of fast driving when he qualified on Pole Position at the Brazilian Grand Prix. Luck wasn’t at his side though and he couldn’t convert the pole to a podium finish, but managed to score 4 points nonetheless with an 8th place result. For 2011 things have gone a step back for Hulkenberg though – or so it may seem – as he picks up the test driver role at Force India that was left vacant when Paul di Resta was promoted to a race seat.
