Euro 4 Ducati Scrambler Now Available in India

Bookings for the Euro 4 Scrambler Icon and Classic have commenced while the Euro 4 versions of the Ducati Diavel and Ducati Monster 821 will arrive in October 2017

Italian motorcycle major Ducati had recently stopped selling the Euro 3 versions of the Scrambler, Monster 821 and the Diavel due to the implementation of BS-IV norms in the country. The brand has now made the Scrambler Icon and Scrambler Classic available in Euro 4 guise and the bookings are also open for the bikes. The deliveries will commence in July 2017. The third Euro 4 variant, Scrambler Full Throttle, will be available from September 2017. Interestingly, Ducati is also going to introduce the Euro 4 version of the Ducati Diavel Diesel in August 2017, while the Euro 4 Ducati Diavel and Monster 821 will arrive in October 2017. The Ducati Scrambler uses an 803cc L-twin air-cooled engine which churns out 75PS of power at 8250rpm and 68Nm of torque at 5750rpm in the UK Euro 4 spec. Its variants also come with the same powerplant but certain bits and bobs are changed to suit the character of the respective bike. The Icon is the base model while the Scrambler Classic comes with front and rear aluminium mudguards, vintage design seat, fuel tank with black stripe, high number plate support and a dedicated logo. On the other hand, the Scrambler Full Throttle is equipped with a Termignoni slip-on silencer, low aluminium handlebars, flat-track inspired seat, sporty tail piece with dedicated turn indicator support, sporty front mudguard, black fuel tank side covers, and dedicated logo. The suspension duties on the Scrambler are carried out by Kayaba 41mm inverted fork at the front and a Kayaba monoshock with adjustable rebound and preload. The bike is anchored by 330mm front disc and a 245mm rear disc, both linked to ABS equipment. 

Monster 821

The UK-spec Euro 4 version of the Ducati Monster 821 is powered by an 821cc Testastretta L-twin engine which is good for 109PS of power 9250rpm and 87Nm of torque at 7750rpm. The bike uses 43mm inverted front forks and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are carried out by ABS-enabled twin 320mm discs with Brembo calipers a single 245mm disc at the rear.

The Ducati Diavel uses a 1198.4cc Testastretta liquid-cooled engine which produces 152PS of power at 9000rpm and 123Nm of torque at 8000rpm, in the UK Euro spec. The Ducati Diavel Diesel uses the same engine but comes with exclusive features like ribbed leather seats, ceramic coated exhaust, weld-finished body panels and the likes. The Diavel is suspended by Marzocchi fully adjustable 50mm inverted front fork and a fully adjustable rear monoshock with remote spring preload adjustment. The bike uses twin 320mm front discs with Brembo Monobloc calipers and a single 265mm rear disc. ABS is standard, along with other electronic features like Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Riding modes.
