Khalid Al Qassimi piloting a privateer Peugeot and Mathieu Serradori in a Century buggy round off four different cars finishing in the top four. The Toyota racer was helped by Yazeed Al Rajhi relinquishing more than 20 minutes in the last legs of the stage. Fernando Alonso suffered a major setback after running well in 4th due to suffering wheel and suspension damage after the 160km mark.

Bikes

The Bikes category saw the established order from Stage 1 struggle and have a surprise winner in the form of Ross Branch. Riding as a privateer KTM, the African rider finished ahead of Sam Sunderland, with Pablo Quintanilla rounding off the podium for Husqvarna.
