Under the hood, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso CNG continues to utilise the BS6-compliant 1.0-litre engine found in its petrol sibling. Power figures are rated at 59PS of power in CNG mode and 68PS in petrol-only mode. The CNG variants are limited to a 5-speed manual gearbox with no AMT option. Maruti Suzuki claims an average of 31.2 km/kg for the S-Presso S-SNG.

With its current variant options, the S-Presso S-CNG misses out on bits like a touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted audio controls, internally adjustable ORVMs, and body-coloured door handles available in the top-spec VXI+ variant.

Expect more Maruti Suzuki vehicles like the Swift and Dzire to come with a cleaner CNG variant soon. Read more about Maruti’s CNG plans right here.
