MG Motor India has showcased the  E200 electric vehicle at Auto Expo 2020. The E200 is a micro electric car capable of seating two people. In fact, it’s 2497 mm long, 1526 mm wide and 1616 mm tall. The E200 is the successor to the Baojun E100 and has more than 200 updates!

Co-developed by SAIC, GM and Wuling, the E200 is powered by an all-electric motor, the specifications of which haven’t been revealed yet. However, the E200 can do 250km on a single charge (NEDC claimed).

In terms of styling, the E200, with its short length and tall height, does look awkward. The front end comes with split headlamps with LED DRLs. Further, the silver inserts on the front bumpers jazz up things. Meanwhile, the rear end comes with slim LED tail lamps.

Inside, the E200 comes with a basic dashboard, with the highlights being the digital instrument display and a two-spoke steering wheel. However, the E200 scores high on practicality, packing in  11 storage spaces and a concealed space under the passenger seat.

Its feature list includes an air conditioner and connected car technology. The latter comes with features like charging and parking navigation, power supply, vehicle inspection, and more.

The E200 won’t be launched in India anytime soon. But considering the government’s ambitious plan shift to electric mobility, MG could bring it here at a later stage. If launched in India, it’s only rival would the Bajaj Qute, a petrol-powered quadricycle.
