General Motors has finally Showcased the 2016 Chevrolet Spin MPV in India after unveiling it for the first time in July 2015. The new Chevrolet Spin is available with both petrol and diesel engines and will be available in showrooms soon.
The Chevrolet Spin MPV is larger than the Enjoy MPV and gets three rows of seats that can comfortably seat upto 7 people. In terms of dimensions, it is 4360mm in length, 1735mm in width and 1656 mm in height and is larger than the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga but slightly smaller than the Honda Mobilio. The Spin is based on the same platform that underpins the Chevrolet Beat and shares a lot of similarities both on the exterior and interior front.
The Chevrolet Spin gets a two tone dashboard on the inside that is similar to the one on the Beat but instead of the separate console that you get on the hatchback, you get an integrated display unit. The new Chevrolet Spin interiors also get beige interiors.
In terms of engines, the Spin will get a 1.4-litre petrol motor that makes 104PS of peak power and 131Nm of peak torque. That said, the most popular engine will have a 1.3-litre diesel engine which will get 90PS of peak power mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The new Chevrolet Spin will go up against the likes of the Honda Mobilio, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Renault Lodgy amongst others.
