1939 BENTLEY 4 1/4 Litre Convertible highlights

Many of the big name coach builders of their time produced stunning bodywork on the MX chassis which came with a large 4257cc inline six-cylinder engine fed with twin SU carbs. This pretty roadster from 1938 was ordered by the Maharaja of Darbhanga and it came with a swoopy body by Vanden Plas.

This handsome convertible looked magnificent replete with its rear wheel spats and motored just as well, its exhaust purring away when on the move.
