New car buying options, ranging across a wide spectrum of bodystyles and segments, are going to be aplenty this festive season

Given the number of launches we’ve had already this year, it is safe to say 2023 has been a good year for car buyers. But the influx hasn’t stopped yet as the upcoming festive season is right on the brink and so is the onslaught of four-wheeler car launches that comes along with it. Manufacturers eagerly await it as the ideal time for new launches, and so here’s a list of all the cars awaiting a launch in the months to come:

Audi Q8 e-tron

The festivities are set to kick off with the launch of what’s probably going to be the most expensive vehicle in this list: the Audi Q8 e-tron. The flagship electric SUV, with its styling revisions, bigger battery, and increased range and technology will land on our shores on August 18. Pre-launch bookings are underway and you can make up your mind by checking it out in-person at Audi dealerships.

Honda Elevate

Honda finally has a full fledged offering, made especially for the Indian market, that will slot in and rival the bustling compact SUV segment of India. Called the Honda Elevate, it will be launched in India in September. Bookings for the SUV are open and it already has a rather long waiting period. Production is underway as well, and you can find its variant-wise powertrain deets here.

Citroen’s fourth and probably the most important launch in India will come in the form of the C3 Aircorss. Bookings for the Hyundai Creta rival will begin from September onwards, while deliveries are slated to commence from October, so the launch should find a place between that timeline. We’ve jotted down all the details of the Citroen C3 Aircross in our image gallery article.

Volvo C40 Recharge

Volvo is going to bring the coupe iteration of the XC40 Recharge, called the C40 Recharge, to India on September 4. It made its India debut back in June with the same powertrain specifications as the XC40 Recharge. It’ll be sold alongside its SUV bodystyle counterpart and is likely to be priced in the same ballpark as well.

Tata Nexon Facelift

The facelifted Tata Nexon had been aching our curiosity by being papped perpetually during testing, without having any concrete launch timeline. But now, thanks to the carmaker’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), we know that it will arrive around the upcoming festive season. You can check out the facelifted compact SUV in its nearly production-ready guise, albeit draped in camo.

Toyota Rumion

The rebadged version of the Maruti Ertiga has just made its debut in India. Called Rumion under the Toyota branding, the MPV is scheduled for a launch around the festive season, likely around September-October. It’ll come in three broad trims and we’ve detailed the list of features it gets with each and every one of them. It should be priced very close to its Maruti counterpart.

Force Gurkha 5-door (speculative)

The saga of the 5-door Force Gurkha has been going on for some time, but it seems like we are nearing the end of it finally. The elongated version of the Force Gurkha could launch around October-November and will carry a premium over its standard model. We’ve already had an unrestricted look at the 5-door Force Gurkha, so head over here to take a look at it for yourself.

Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus  (speculative)

The launch of the Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus, the larger version of the standar Bolero Neo, is likely due in the next two to three months. The three-row SUV got its specification leaked recently, revealing the variants and powertrain options that it will get. It could be offered in both 7- and 9-seater options, with the last row likely to be both front-facing (7-seater) and jump (9-seater) seats. Brace for a steeper price tag over the standard Bolero Neo, which retails from Rs 9.62 lakh (ex-showroom).

Special Editions

Given that a lot of carmakers don’t have any new offerings in the pipeline, they’d still naturally want to capitalise on the aura of the festive season and the additional sales that it brings with it. So expect a few special edition models for a few existing vehicles. The average treatment will likely include availability of new hues for the exterior and interior, new features and maybe a slight rejig in the variant-wise powertrains.
