The Kodiaq received its last major update in India in the form of facelift in January 2022.
Skoda’s flagship SUV was loaded with features like an 8-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, 3-zone AC, and a panoramic sunroof.
Safety features included 9 airbags, electronic stability control and a 360-degree camera.
It was available with a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine which used to make 190 PS and 320 Nm.
This engine was paired with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT).
The new-gen model is expected to launch in India by May 2025.
Skoda’s premium 7-seater SUV, the Kodiaq has been quietly removed from Skoda India's website, signaling that this flagship SUV is no longer available for sale in the country. If you were hoping to book one, you're out of luck. The Kodiaq’s last update came in January 2022 with a facelift, and it was offered via CKD (completely knocked down) route. Has Skoda finally bid farewell to its flagship SUV in India?

Well, not exactly. Skoda is all set to introduce the new-generation Kodiaq SUV in India by May 2025. The Czech automaker first revealed the new Kodiaq globally in 2024, and it made its India debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The new Kodiaq features sleeker LED headlights, new 20-inch alloys, and C-shaped connected LED taillights. Inside, it boasts a revamped dashboard design with a 13-inch touchscreen and physical dials for key functions. Skoda will likely offer the new Kodiaq with multiple powertrain options. More details on the new Kodiaq can be found here.

Towards the end of the lifecycle, Skoda offered the Kodiaq in just a single Laurin and Klement (L&K) variant which was priced at Rs 40.99 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India). The Kodiaq, like any other Skoda car, came with a clean and pleasing design, a minimalist interior that had solid build quality and an engaging drive experience.

It was decked up with all modern amenities like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, an 12-speaker Canton sound system, 10-colour ambient lighting, 3-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and cruise control.
Passenger safety was taken care of by 9 airbags (as standard), electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, hill hold and hill descent control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Skoda only offered the Kodiaq with a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine. The detailed specifications are as follows:
