New Q3 gets 2-litre turbo-petrol engine with dual clutch automatic.
Quattro all-wheel drive standard on all variants.
Features include dual-zone AC, panoramic glass roof and Audi sound system.
Available to book for Rs 2 lakh, price announcement likely in September.
Deliveries to begin at the end of 2022.
Prices are expected to start at around Rs 45 lakh.
Audi has commenced pre-launch bookings for the new Q3 SUV for a token amount of Rs 2 lakh. The compact luxury SUV is expected to be launched next month at prices starting from around Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom). First deliveries are slated to begin at the end of the year.
The Audi Q3 will slot between the Q2 and Q5 SUVs in the carmaker’s lineup. It’ll rekindle rivalries with the Mercedes-Benz GLA, BMW X1 and Volvo XC40.

Two variants of the Q3 – Premium Plus and Technology – are offered. The standard Premium Plus trim level gets powered front seats, a panoramic sunroof, single-colour ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, powered front seats, cruise control and a digital driver’s display.

The top-spec Technology variant adds a gesture-controlled tailgate, Virtual Cockpit Plus driver’s display, 30-colour ambient lighting, wireless phone charger and a 10-speaker Audi sound system.
The standard safety kit consists of six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring (TPMS), Parking Aid Plus with a reversing camera and ISOFIX child seat mounts. Unfortunately, driver assistance and active safety features are not offered on the India-spec Q3.

As you might have guessed, the Q3 won’t get any diesel powertrains. A single 2-litre petrol engine is offered, paired with a 7-speed S-tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive system.
The engine makes a healthy 190PS and 320Nm and it takes the Audi 7.3 seconds to sprint to 100kmph from a standstill.
