European carmaker Audi has revealed the Q3 Sportback for India, and it is now available to book for a token amount of Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom). The coupe-SUV’s launch is expected in the coming days and we expect it to be priced at a premium over the Q3 SUV, at around Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom).

The current-generation Audi Q3, launched in India in August 2022, was the first iteration of the compact luxury SUV to get the ‘Sportback’ treatment with a coupe-esque roofline. The Q3 SUV, on the other hand, gets the same front-end styling but a more upright tailgate.

The Q3 SUV is offered in Premium Plus and Technology trim levels, but the Q3 Sportback comes in the top-spec Technology trim only.
Its features list includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen, digital driver’s display (Virtual Cockpit Plus), dual zone AC, wireless phone charging, ambient lighting and powered front seats.

The Q3 Sportback gets the same engine option as the Q3 SUV, a 2-litre TFSI turbo petrol engine good for 190PS, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and Quattro all-wheel drive (AWD).

The Q3 Sportback’s launch date should be announced soon. It’ll be the only coupe-SUV version in its segment which also includes the Mercedes-Benz GLA, BMW X1 and Volvo XC40.
