The mid-engined supercar has a rear-wheel-drive layout
Cosworth V12 petrol engine and 48V mild-hybrid powertrain
Standard 6-speed manual gearbox with optional automatic
Only 100 cars will be produced
UK-based Gordon Murray Automotive has a new supercar, the GMA T.33. The carmaker had already pushed hypercar benchmarks with the T.50 in August 2020. Now, the T.33 comes with a Cosworth-developed V12 engine, mild-hybrid powertrain, and uniquely, with 6-speed manual gearbox. Only 100 cars will be produced, and each costs the equivalent of Rs 13.8 crores.

The GMA T.33’s all-aluminium 3.9-litre V12 petrol engine (borrowed from the T.50) makes 615PS and 451Nm. It has an astonishing 11,100 rpm redline, courtesy of its aluminium alloy engine block and cylinder heads. The engine is paired with a 48-volt integrated starter generator, and you can have the mild-hybrid system with a 12-volt or 48-volt battery.

Murray’s supercar comes with a rare combination of a V12 engine and a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. An optional transversely mounted automatic transmission with paddle shifters will be available for the T.33’s well-heeled buyers.

All that power comes wrapped in a package that weighs as much as a Honda City. The doors are made out of carbon fibre, and the body frame is a combination of lightweight alloy and carbon fibre.

The GMA T.33 is special in the automotive world, but it’s also exclusive – only 100 models will ever be produced. Each of these will be priced exorbitantly at nearly Rs 14 crore, and that’s before you account for the shipping costs and customs duties to bring it to India.
