The special edition is called the Meridian Overland.
This variant is based on the Meridian’s top-spec Limited Plus trim.
Features a new design for the alloys, body-coloured cladding, and revised grille.
Inside, it gets a suede upholstery finish with plenty of copper highlights.
Meridian now offered in two distinct trims : Limited (O) and Limited Plus with three special editions : X, Upland and Overland
Jeep has introduced a new special edition for its 3-row SUV, the Meridian, known as the 'Overland.' This special edition brings subtle cosmetic changes both inside and outside. It’s based on the top-spec Limited Plus variant of the three-row SUV and prices for the Meridian Overland are yet to be announced. For reference, the Limited Plus trims costs Rs 35.93 lakh (ex-showroom) and you can expect a premium over it.
On the outside, it gets a new star-like design update to the alloys, the easiest way to say this is the Overland edition. It also gets a slightly altered grille with a bit more dash of chrome. And the black body cladding of the standard car is body coloured here in this edition.
Inside, the dashboard design and layout is the same as before, but the materials and trims used are different in this edition. For starters, you’ll notice that the centre trim in the dash and upholstery are finished in suede. And then to add a dash of bling, Jeep has splashed copper inserts around the AC vents and lower central console.

The Meridian's cabin already boasted many upmarket features, and the Overland variant maintains it, including a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver's display, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats with ventilation, cruise control, automatic headlamps and wipers, and keyless entry with push-button start.
Safety features remain unchanged, the Meridian comes equipped with six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), front and rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a tyre-pressure monitoring system.
No changes in the powertrain department though, as it will be offered with 2-litre diesel churning 170PS/350Nm. The engine is coupled to either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. Jeep also launched an automatic transmission variant for its popular Compass with two-wheel drive.
The Jeep Meridian rivals the likes of Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster and Skoda Kodiaq
