2026 Hyundai Exter Facelift: Exterior
With this facelift, the Exter has gotten a lot of design enhancements. Up front, it features a new bumper with silver inserts and a reworked grille with gloss black detailing. It still retains the ‘H-shaped’ DRLs and a black strip connecting them, although the ‘EXTER’ lettering on it is also new.

In profile, the silhouette remains similar to the pre-facelift version with its boxy shape and a black insert on the C-pillar. However, Hyundai has now added new 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, which look premium. You also have the option to add-on chunkier black cladding on the sides as an accessory.

The rear-end now features a cleaner look with reworked detailing on the black plastic strip connecting the LED taillamps and a new two-part roof spoiler. You also have the reworked bumper with a faux diffuser, silver insert and vertically placed reflectors for a sporty touch. You still have the large squared-off taillamps with ‘H-shaped’ detailing as before.

With this facelift, Hyundai has also added two colour options called Golden Bronze and Titanium Black Matte to refresh its colour palette. These will be available alongside existing options, which include Titan Grey, Starry Night, Atlas White, Titanium Black and Ranger Khaki. You can also opt for a dual-tone scheme with a black roof in the Ranger Khaki shade.
2026 Hyundai Exter Facelift: Interior
Inside the Exter, the biggest change comes in the form of the new dual-tone cabin theme of Navy Blue and Grey colours. The dashboard remains the same with an upright layout and a dual-screen setup.

Other changes also include a new flat-bottom steering wheel, and a new foldable centre armrest for the driver. Hyundai has also made a height-adjustable driver seat and adjustable rear headrests standard fitments.

2026 Hyundai Exter Facelift: Features & Safety
In terms of the equipment on offer, additions include a USB Type-C charging port for rear passengers, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay (via wired-to-wireless adapter) and an in-built dashcam. It also gets features such as a single-pane sunroof, semi-digital instrument cluster, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto headlamps, wireless phone charger, keyless entry and cruise control.

Safety-wise, the Exter is now equipped with 6 airbags, electronic stability control and hill hold assist as standard. You also get to see a rear view camera, reverse parking sensors and tyre pressure monitoring system in higher variants.

2026 Hyundai Exter Facelift: Powertrain

2026 Hyundai Exter Facelift: Rivals
The Exter facelift will go up primarily against the Tata Punch and Citroen C3.

ZigSays…
The Exter has always been known to offer a premium and feature-loaded package at an affordable price, which has made it a popular choice in its segment. This new facelift, while not major, does make it feel fresh and retain its upmarket feel compared to other rivals in this price range.
