  • The affected units had an issue in their fuel pumps with potential defect in their impellers

  • Affected models were manufactured between 2017 and 2018

  • Car models include Amaze, City, BR-V, Jazz, WR-V and Brio

  • The recall campaign will begin from November 5, 2024 and the issue will be fixed free of cost

Honda has announced a recall for over 90,000 units of the Amaze, City, BR-V, Jazz, WR-V and Brio combined. There seems to be a potential issue with the fuel pump and Honda will be replacing the affected part free of cost. The recall process will begin from November 5, 2024 and Honda dealerships will reach out to the owners of the cars that have the above mentioned issue in them.

Additionally, the recall campaign will also cover 2,204 units of old models (Accord, Amaze, Brio, BR-V, City, Civic, Jazz, WR-V) which have possibly gone through a part change and replaced with a spare part.

Customers with any questions or concerns can contact their nearest Honda dealership or enter their car’s Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the Honda website (www.hondacarindia.com) to find out if their car belongs in the affected batch. Owners who may have purchased the fuel pump assembly from any Honda dealership between June 2017 and October 2023 can also check if their vehicle is affected.

The affected fuel pumps installed in these vehicles might contain defective impellers, which over time could possibly lead to the engine stopping or the engine not starting at all. So we request you to get your car checked as soon as possible.
