Hyundai very recently revealed the interior of the upcoming Alcazar facelift which will be launched on September 9, 2024. The Korean carmaker has upgraded the cabin of the SUV with a host of new features and multiple additions to the second row seats making it ideal for those who want a chauffeur-driven 6 or 7-seater SUV. In this article, we will be taking you through the 6 features that the upcoming Alcazar will get over the 5-seater Hyundai Creta on which it’s based.
The Alcazar will be offered with a powered co-driver seat and a boss mode as well. This means that you will be able to adjust the co-driver seat from the rear seat to increase the legroom as per your convenience. The Creta on the other hand, does not get a boss mode for the co-driver seat.
Both Creta and Alcazar get 8-way adjustable-powered driver seats, but the Alcazar will additionally get a memory function for the driver seats which means you can save your ideal seat position as per your preference. It also offers a welcome function where the seat slides back automatically for easier ingress.
The current model of both Creta and Alcazar get ventilation for the front row seats. But, in the upcoming Alcazar facelift, you will get seat ventilation with the second row seats as well. A point to note is that this feature will be available with the 6-seater configuration (captain seats) only.
The upcoming Alcazar facelift will be equipped with a wireless phone charger for both front seats as well with second row seats. This will ensure that the rear seat passengers get a more seamless experience and do not have to rely on charging ports. The Creta only gets a wireless phone charger for the front passengers.
A feature seen on premium cars is the winged headrest and the Alcazar facelift will be getting this feature over the Creta. This feature increases the comfort of the seats and ensures added support in case you decide to take a quick nap while being chauffeured around. This feature will also be available with the 6-seater Alcazar only.
This feature will let you increase or decrease the underthigh support as per your comfort and convenience. This too will be offered with the 6-seater variants only. The Creta on the other hand, does not get any adjustment for the underthigh support.
The Creta is priced from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 20.15 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Alcazar is expected to be priced from Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). The Creta is available as a 5-seater SUV, while the Alcazar will come in both 6- and 7-seater layouts.
