Citroen has introduced the Basalt SUV Coupe on our shores, with prices starting from Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The French carmaker has offered the SUV in three different variants and 7 colour options. In this story, we are going to take you through the different hues available with the Basalt:
Polar White: Accentuates the bold looks of the SUV-coupe.
Steel Grey: For a subtle and clean look.

Platinum Grey: Darker version of steel grey for a stealthier look.
Cosmo Blue: A colour that makes the Basalt stand out, while giving it a premium look.
Garnet Red: A sporty red, which goes well with the SUV-coupe design.
Both Polar White and Garnet Red are available as dual-tone options as well. The white colour is offered with a grey roof, while the red shade is available with a black roof.
The Basalt misses out on certain key features, but still comes with a well-equipped cabin for the price it's offered at. The key features include, a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, a wireless phone charger, steering mounted audio controls and connected car tech features.
Its safety kit includes 6 airbags, rear parking camera with sensors, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Sunroof, keyless entry with push button start and ventilated front seats would have rounded off the overall package.
The Basalt is offered with a choice of either a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated or a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine options. Here’s a detailed look at its specifications:

The Citroen Basalt locks horns with the lower-end variants of compact SUVs such as the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. It also takes on the Tata Curvv, set to launch on September 02, which is the only other SUV coupe in the segment.
