CFMoto is planning to re-enter the Indian market with their internationally acclaimed motorcycles by mid-2025. The manufacturer will rekindle their journey with the 450MT adventure motorcycle in India.
CFMoto motorcycles were on sale in India for quite some time but received a very poor response from the Indian consumers. The manufacturer appears to have stopped the sale of new motorcycles after the implementation of BS6 emission norms. The brand previously sold its motorcycles in India via a Hyderabad-based dealer and is now in the final talking stages of appointing a new partner in India. The Chinese brand aims to re-enter the Indian market with a bang and will most likely launch the 450MT as their first motorcycle.

The CFMoto 450MT is an adventure motorcycle powered by a 449cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. It makes 42PS and 42Nm, and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. It gets a KYB fork and monoshock (the fork is adjustable for compression and dampening while the monoshock has preload adjustability) with 200mm of suspension travel, disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS (switchable for the rear wheel), rides on a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear with tubeless-spoke wheels.
In terms of features, the 450MT gets a TFT display which supports smartphone connectivity and allows for turn-by-turn navigation, call & SMS alerts, and music control. Other features include, all-LED lighting, switchable traction control, USB-C and USB-A charging ports and more.

The brand is internationally known for their well-built premium products and their affordable prices. In India, the CFMoto is most likely to bring in the 450MT and it will arrive via the CKD route. This means that the motorcycle will command a premium price here. CFMoto wasn’t able to gain as much popularity in their first innings in India, but we will have to wait and watch if the Indian consumers give them a second chance and look at them afresh with their new range.

With the recent rise in popularity in the mid-size adventure motorcycle segment, the 450MT can become a strong contender, if it is priced well. The ADV has received some adulation internationally, though we will reserve our verdict till we can ride the bike. If launched in India, it will go against the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the recently-launched 2025 KTM 390 Adventure. Another rival which the CFMoto ADV has to look out for is the upcoming BMW F 450 GS which has already created a fan-following..
The 450MT will also be just the start of CFMoto’s second innings in India. The manufacturer has multiple motorcycles in their portfolio which includes the new 675cc inline-three motorcycles, the 700MT, and the 450SR.
