Dragster 300 Key Highlights

Price: The Dragster 300 is expected to cost around Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom).

Design: The Italjet Dragster 300 has an aggressive, naked-superbike-inspired design that makes it look considerably different from conventional scooters. It features an exposed crimson-red steel trellis frame paired with cast-aluminium plates, with minimal bodywork to highlight its underlying mechanical components. The front fairing draws inspiration from MotoGP machines and modern sportbikes, featuring layered winglets, a sharply angled front snout and angular louvres. Its track-inspired colour scheme, with light blue and red graphics reminiscent of Gresini racing liveries, further enhances its motorsport appeal. The rear gets a minimalist floating pillion subframe that tapers upwards into an open aerodynamic duct. This leaves the engine block, exhaust and rear wheel completely exposed, reinforcing its stripped-down appearance. The exposed chassis components and distinctive front suspension architecture are also important parts of its visual identity, making the Dragster 300 look more like a miniature performance motorcycle than a conventional scooter. Black/Red, Acid Yellow, Malossi, Gresini, and Total Black are the colours on offer.

Features: It gets an all-LED lighting with DRLs, a TFT console, and an Anti-Theft Alert. It also gets dual-channel ABS.

Engine: The Italjet Dragster 300 is powered by a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled 278cc engine, producing 23.79PS at 8,250rpm, and 26Nm at 6,250rpm. It is mated to a CVT gearbox.

Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The Italjet Dragster 300's biggest highlight is its Independent Steering System (ISS), which uses a hub-centre steering arrangement instead of a conventional telescopic fork. This system separates steering inputs from suspension movements, helping minimise front-end dive under hard braking and maintain consistent steering geometry during deceleration. The front wheel is held by a single-sided forged aluminium swingarm, which is mounted low on the chassis. Its sculpted design leaves the right side of the front wheel exposed, highlighting the disc brake and multi-piece hub assembly. The scooter also gets an adjustable, horizontally mounted central monoshock tucked inside the chassis tunnel. This arrangement helps concentrate the mass centrally and lowers the centre of gravity. Braking duties are handled by a 240mm front disc and a 175mm disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS and steel-braided brake lines The seat height is quite accessible at 770mm while the scooter weighs 128kg without fuel. Speaking of, the fuel tank capacity is rated at 11L.

Rivals: The Italjet Dragster 300 will enter India's premium scooter segment. It will be a much more premium option compared to other affordable performance scooters like Yamaha Aerox 155, TVS Ntorq 150, Aprilia SR 175 hp-e and Hero Xoom 160.

Variants: The Dragster 300 will be offered in a single, fully-loaded variant.
