Price: The Dragster 459 is expected to cost around Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom).

Design: True to the Dragster family heritage, the 459 sports an ultra-aggressive, mechanical, and motorsport-inspired design language. Instead of concealing the vehicle's internals behind full plastic panels, it features an exposed tubular steel trellis frame as a central styling element. The fascia is sharp, aerodynamic, and dominated by dual LED headlights with pronounced winglet-style body lines, leading down to an exposed front suspension arrangement. An angular tail section, high-mounted swept dual exhausts, and low-slung clip-on style handlebars complete its track-focused "superbike-meets-scooter" aesthetic. It is offered in two colours: Orange/Black and Silver/Black.

Features: The Dragster 459 comes with traction control and ABS as the only two rider-aids. More importantly, it gets a 6-speed SmartShift automated manual transmission system, which integrates electronically controlled clutch and gear actuators to provide automatic driving alongside manual gear selection via handlebar-mounted paddle or thumb shifters. Cockpit data is relayed through a color TFT screen, although smartphone connectivity is absent. Additional factory equipment includes a full-LED lighting, and you can pay extra to avail heated grips and also an anti-theft system.

Engine: Powering the Dragster 459 is a 449 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. It produces 47.58PS at 9,500 rpm and 41Nm at 8,000 rpm. The claimed fuel economy stands at 24.39kmpl.

Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: Underneath its body panels, the machine is built around an exposed tubular steel trellis frame paired with race-grade chassis components. The front end is supported by a fully adjustable Marzocchi USD fork, while the rear utilizes an adjustable Marzocchi monoshock. Stopping power comes from a Brembo braking setup featuring dual 270 mm front discs and a single 260 mm rear disc, with dual channel ABS. The scooter rides on 15-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli performance tyres, measuring 120/70 ZR15 up front and 160/60 ZR15 at the rear. In terms of proportions, the Dragster 459 features an 815 mm seat height, a 16-liter fuel tank, and a dry weight of 180 kg.

Rivals: In terms of form factor, twin-cylinder displacement, and premium performance positioning, the Dragster 459 occupies a niche crossover space between scooters and sport-bikes. The closest rival to it is the BMW C 400 GT. However, the BMW scooter is a whole lot more expensive. At its price segment, you may also consider performance bikes like KTM 390 Duke R, and the Aprilia Tuono 457, and the upcoming BMW F 450 R.
