From a micro entry-level EV to a 7-seater SUV, the list has a range of gorgeous-looking special edition vehicles

The month of February has not been as exciting as January in terms of new car launches or reveals, however, we have seen plenty of special editions introduced in the second month of the year. In this report, we take you through the 5 cars that received a special edition to cater to a wider range of buyers and also add a more exciting flavour to these cars. The list includes a micro EV from MG, two popular Tata SUVs, a special edition for an iconic Honda sedan, and a Mahindra SUV which is also referred to as the “Big Daddy”.

Without further ado, here’s a look at the list of special editions launched:

MG Comet EV Blackstorm Edition

Starting with the smallest car on the list, the MG Comet EV Blackstorm Edition was recently launched at Rs 7.8 lakh (ex-showroom) with the battery rental scheme. It can also be purchased outright at Rs 9.81 lakh. The special edition is based on the top-spec Exclusive FC variant and comes at a premium of up to Rs 30,000.

The Blackstorm Edition features an all-black (Starry Black hue) exterior with red accents for a sportier contrast. The interior comes with black upholstery and Blackstorm badging for an exclusive look. It also gets a 4-speaker sound system, while the regular Comet comes with 2 speakers only. There are no changes in the powertrain department. For more details, check out this story

Honda City Apex Edition

The only sedan in the list is the popular Honda City which also got a special Apex Edition, with prices ranging between Rs 13.30 lakh to Rs 15.62 lakh (ex-showroom). It is based on the mid-spec V and VX trims at a premium of Rs 25,000. It comes with exclusive Apex Edition badges and a more premium interior. It features ambient lighting which is otherwise available as an accessory, and you also get soft-touch leatherette materials across the cabin. Tata Harrier Stealth Edition

Moving on to the mid-size SUVs, Tata launched the Harrier Stealth Edition with prices starting at Rs 25.09 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes with an exclusive matte black hue for the exterior along with some blacked-out elements. The interior gets an all-black colour scheme as well to complement the exterior look.

It is available with both manual and automatic options and is powered by a 170 PS 2-litre diesel engine. Since it is based on the top-spec Fearless Plus variant, it gets amenities like a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, powered and ventilated front seats, a powered tailgate, dual-zone climate control, multi-colour ambient lighting and level-2 ADAS.

Tata Safari Stealth Edition

The three-row Safari SUV also received the special Stealth Edition for a stealthy look. It is based on the top-spec Accomplished+ variant and costs a premium of Rs 25,000 over the variant in question. The aesthetic changes are the same as what you get with the Harrier special edition. You get the special black hue and blacked-out elements including a black grille, black alloy wheels, and black ORVMs. The interior also follows the dark colour theme. It has a 2-litre diesel engine and can be had with both manual and automatic transmissions. You get the special edition with both six- and seven-seater configurations.

Basically, all the contrasting chrome elements have been blacked out to give it a meaner appearance. The all-black colour scheme can be seen in the interior as well.

There are no changes to the powertrain. It gets both petrol and diesel engine options with 2WD as well as 4WD options. For a closer look at the special edition, check out this story
