Nissan very recently launched the Magnite facelift on our shores, with prices starting from Rs 5.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). To be fair, Nissan has updated the interior of the cabin which now feels more sophisticated and fairly well-equipped. However, we believe there is still room for improvement, and some additional features would have surely elevated the cabin experience. In this article, we take you through the list of 5 features that we think would have uplifted the value proposition of the Magnite and make it a more desirable subcompact SUV.
Let’s begin:
We were hoping for Nissan to launch the facelifted Magnite with a larger touchscreen infotainment system. However, Nissan has retained the same 8-inch infotainment system which was offered with the outgoing model. A larger screen would have been more than welcome since most of its rivals are offering bigger units. The 8-inch unit comes with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
A feature which is a big miss on the facelifted Magnite. The fan favorite feature was expected to be added to the features list of the Magnite, but sadly it still has not made its way to the Magnite.
Ventilated seats is a feature that would have significantly increased the premium feel of the cabin. It is a very useful feature, especially during the hot summers. With not many of its competitors offering this feature, the addition of it would have helped the Magnite have an edge over its rivals.
A wireless phone charger is available with the Magnite facelift, but as an accessory. We were expecting Nissan to offer it as standard with the higher-spec variants instead of being sold separately. It is a feature which negates the need of a charging cable, thus making the cabin feel less cluttered.
A feature that has become common nowadays is the auto fold function for the outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs). Even though you get electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, they do not open/close on their own when you lock/unlock the car. While not a stark miss, this feature is useful for people who park their vehicle in really congested spaces.

The Magnite facelift is priced from Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 11.5 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). It competes with the Mahindra XUV 3XO, Maruti Fronx, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, Citroen Basalt, Hyundai Exter, Tata Punch, Toyota Taisor, Hyundai Venue, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
Let us know which feature feels like the biggest miss in the interior of the facelifted Magnite.
