The Nissan Magnite facelift was recently launched at Rs 5.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom), and is available in six different variants, featuring subtle design updates inside and out. In this report, we take a close look at the one-below-top ‘Tekna’ variant, providing a detailed overview of what it offers and how it differs when compared to the fully loaded top-spec Magnite. So, if you’re keen on getting this model, we’ve explained all that you need to know below:
When you take a closer look at the design of the Tekna variant, you'll notice no differences compared to the top-spec Tekna+ variant. The front features sharp and sleek headlights with new lighting elements, flanked by L-shaped DRLs, while the fog lamps are integrated into the front bumper, sitting close to the larger grille. The grille itself boasts a honeycomb pattern, accentuated by chunky chrome inserts, giving the car a sportier look.
At the profile, the car gets 16-inch alloy wheels with a new multi-spoke design. The look is further enhanced by a chrome-finished window line, roof rails, and prominent wheel arches.
The rear end gets LED tail lights which feature distinctive H-shaped motifs that are new for the 2024 Magnite. For colour options, the Tekna variant comes in five dual-tone and six monotone shades, including the new Sunset Copper Orange.

Overall, the Tekna variant completely mirrors the look and feel of the top-spec Tekna+ variant.
Unlike the exterior, the cabin of the Tekna variant brings you the difference with a black and grey dual-tone theme. While it offers a more subdued look, it might not feel as premium as the orange and black theme found in the Tekna+ trim. Instead of leatherette upholstery, the Tekna variant gets fabric seats. However, the cabin does feature stylish orange stitching on the steering wheel and dashboard, adding a touch of flair.
You'll also find soft-touch materials on the dashboard and door panels, which feel more upscale compared to the outgoing model. In the back seat, you can still make use of the convertible armrest along with cup holders.
In terms of features, the Tekna variant offers an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, an air purifier, automatic climate control, cruise control, keyless entry, a 6-speaker ARKAMYS sound system, push-button start/stop and auto-dimming IRVM.
For passenger safety, it gets 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic stability control (ESC) and a 360-degree camera with rear parking sensors.
With the Tekna variant, you get both petrol engine options: a 72 PS/ 96 Nm 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit and a 100 PS/ 160 Nm 1-litre turbo-petrol unit. The N/A petrol engine can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic transmission (AMT), while the turbo-petrol engine can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT-type automatic transmission.
