Skoda has made an announcement that the sub-four metre Kyalq has achieved a major milestone of 10,000 bookings ahead of its dealership arrival date of 27 January, 2025. According to the carmaker, the Kyalq’s booking milestone was achieved within 10 days of its bookings opening date. That said, the SUV has been priced between Rs 7.89 lakh and Rs 14.40 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom) with the customer deliveries scheduled to begin by March 2025.
The sub-four metre Skoda Kylaq features a familiar design but gets several distinct styling elements that makes it stand out in the crowd. For example, it gets a split headlamp setup, small and square-ish taillights, and 17-inch alloy wheels. In terms of dimensions, the SUV is 3,995 mm long, 1,783 mm wide, and 1,619 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,566 mm. It has a boot space of 446 litres.

Customers can choose from 7 colour options: Lava Blue, Olive Gold, Candy White, Tornado Red, Deep Black, Brilliant Silver, and Carbon Steel.

Inside, the cabin of the Kyalq resembles that of the Kushaq and Slavia. However, it bears a different dashboard trim and a dual-tone theme paired with chrome and silver accents. There is also a free-standing infotainment system, two-spoke steering wheel, and touch-capacitive climate control panel.
The Kyalq comes equipped with a host of features, such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment, an 8-inch digital driver’s display, powered front seats with ventilation function, wireless phone charger, an electric sunroof, auto-dimming IRVM, ambient lighting, connected car tech, and cooled glovebox. In terms of safety features, Skoda offers it with 6 airbags (as standard), hill hold control, electronic stability programme (ESP), multi-collision brakes, ABS with EBD, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and brake disc wiping.

Powering the Kylaq is a 1-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 115 PS and 178 Nm. Mated to this motor is a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque-convertor automatic transmission.
The sub-four metre Kylaq rivals the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
