Xiaomi recently showcased the SU7 on our shores, which is the mobile phone brand’s first electric vehicle ever. It comes with an eye-catching design, a plethora of features and powerful performance. While it won’t be launched in India anytime soon, this report is for those who want to take a closer look at it as we explain about how the SU7 looks in our image gallery.
Up front, it has a minimalistic design with tear-drop shaped LED headlights, and air vents on both sides of the bumper. It gets a large bonnet, with the Xiaomi logo placed on top of it.
The sleek and stylish silhouette of the SU7 reminds you of the head-turning Porsche Taycan and Hyundai Ioniq 6. Its 21-inch blacked-out alloy wheels with yellow brake callipers stand out and give a sporty touch to it.
The rear features connected LED tail lights, as seen on most modern cars. Above the tail light you get “Xiaomi” badging and the aggressively styled bumper adds a hint of sportiness to the premium EV.
The design of the cabin is similar to the… psst… psst… Tesla Model 3, but still looks great with the large 16.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system dominating the dashboard. Thankfully, it comes with physical controls and knobs to access all the important functions.
What really stands out is the massive 56-inch heads-up display ensuring that the driver doesn’t need to take his eyes off the road. Apart from this, you get a three-spoke steering wheel whose rotary controls remind us of those from a Porsche.
The colour options for the cabin include: Obsidian Black, Mist Purple, Galaxy Grey and Twilight Red.
The features onboard include the above mentioned screens, a multi-zone climate control, a panoramic glass roof, powered front seats, two more screens for rear-seat passengers, a 7.1-inch digital driver’s display, a 25-speaker sound system, a 50 Watt wireless phone charger, and a powered tailgate.
The safety kit includes several ADAS features, ABS with EBD, seven airbags, electronic stability control, and front and rear parking sensors.
The SU7 comes with multiple powertrain options in the global markets. Its top-end variant comes with very powerful dual-motors that can compete with supercars, and also give them a run for their money. The model showcased in India was the top-spec Max variant, while the SU7 also gets a Standard and a Pro variant internationally. Here is a look at its specifications:

Xiaomi has confirmed that the SU7 won’t be launched in India any time soon. However, if it gets launched here, it will rival the BYD Seal and Hyundai Ioniq 5.
