The German marque also plans to bring nine new cars by 2027, four of which will be EVs based on their new MEB platform.

Volkswagen Has Globally Revealed ID.EVERY1 Concept Ahead Of Its 2027 highlights

Volkswagen has finally revealed its all-electric concept, ID.EVERY1. It is meant to be the brand’s entry-level and most affordable EV, currently only confirmed for the European market. The production version of this car is intended to be launched by 2027, and we suspect this EV from the German automaker’s ID range of vehicles could also show up in India at a later time. It looks like a cute hatchback given a futuristic touch in its design from what the concept has to show. Let’s dig deeper to see what’s more to it.

Design

Cute is the one word to define the design at first glance. The ID.EVERY1 sports a curvy design philosophy overall, carrying much more roundedness than sharp body lines. The car measures 3880 mm in length and has a boot space of 305 litres.

It features rectangular LED lighting placed on a black panel that also houses the logo at the centre. A contrasting black trim on the bumper gives the car a smiling look, while the vertical LED lighting looks like its dimples. That’s a great fascia for sure.

The silhouette is typical of a hatchback and is as clean as it could have been made. No body cladding or contrasting elements to add ruggedness. It's as minimal as it's meant to be, featuring flush-type door handles, blacked-out ORVMs, and 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

At the rear, wraparound taillights are placed on a black panel, and the logo is rather interesting, with a red lighting element integrated into it. There’s also a small roof-mounted spoiler lip with an integrated stop light, along with vertical lighting units below, just like in the fascia.

Interior And Features

The interior looks futuristic and is kept as minimalistic as possible with a four-seater layout. The dashboard is clean, featuring just a large screen at the centre, bottomed by a panel with a few physical controls. The steering wheel is a two-spoke, squarish unit with mounted controls. You also get a neat front centre armrest, in front of which there is a Bluetooth speaker mounted in between.

The cabin sports an interesting dual-tone black-and-white theme with body-coloured inserts. The AC vents are positioned at the edges, also featuring body-coloured surrounds.

The rear seats are foldable for multipurpose use and increased space. While the feature set is not yet confirmed, it will likely carry all premium features like the large touchscreen for infotainment, a fully digital driver’s display, automatic climate control, a premium audio system and connected car tech.

Powertrain

The Volkswagen ID.EVERY1 will be based on the brand’s new modular MEB platform, particularly meant for EVs, and it will be facilitated with a front-wheel drivetrain. While its battery pack size hasn’t been confirmed yet, its electric motor is said to generate 95 PS power and go up to a top speed of 130 kmph.

With this much performance, the car is claimed to offer a minimum range of 250 km on a single charge.

Expected Price

The Volkswagen ID.EVERY1’s production version will go on sale only in the European markets in 2027, retailing at a price tag of 20,000 euros (Rs 18.46 lakh approx). It will follow the ID.2all, which is confirmed to be launched in 2026 at a starting price of 25,000 euros. Both these cars will be part of Volkswagen’s new ID range of vehicles.

Volkswagen’s plans for electrification do look promising. They have already generated good buzz in the Indian market by confirming the Tiguan R-Line and the Golf GTI lately. Now, with their set of EVs lined up, if they happen to arrive on our shores, that will stir up an interesting competition to look up to. Ain’t so? What do you think?
