Mahindra XUV.e9 spotted testing overseas
XUV.e9 will be launched after the XUV.e8, sometime in April 2025
The coupe-like SUV is based on the new INGLO platform that uses components from Volkswagen’s MEB platform
Could get triple screens, two-spoke steering wheel and rotary drive mode selector
A test mule of the Mahindra XUV.e9 electric SUV-coupe has been spotted testing – probably components testing – in South Korea. It’s nothing but the electric SUV-coupe version of the XUV700. Earlier, Mahindra teased the XUV.e9 doing a high speed test run at its testing facility.
As you can see in these images, the front-end boasts a closed-off grille with provision for what looks like a full-width LED DRL. Even though this test mule is seen with basic halogen headlamps, the final production will boast LED headlights. In profile, the main talking point is the sloping roofline. Other touches include flush-fitting door handles for the front doors and C-pillar-mounted door handles for the rear.

Spy shots of the interiors have not yet surfaced online, but we can expect the XUV.e9 to come with triple large screens. You can check out more details about the Mahindra XUV.e9 here.
The XUV.e9 will be based on Mahindra’s new INGLO EV platform, which will come with two battery options: 60 kWh and 80 kWh. The maximum expected range is around 450 kilometres. The INGLO platform supports both rear-wheel and all-wheel drivetrain options with rated outputs of up to 285PS and up to 394PS respectively.
In August 2023, the XUV.e9, XUV.e8, and BE.05 all recorded a speed of 200 kmph at Mahindra’s proving grounds.

Mahindra is planning to launch the XUV.e9 in April 2025. It will follow the XUV.e8 which is expected to launch in the next year. It will head against the likes of the Tata Curvv, MG ZS EV and more. Let us know in the comments what are you expecting from Mahindra’s upcoming all-electric range of SUVs.
