Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the facelifted Ertiga MPV on April 15, and pre-launch bookings are underway. Like before, the people mover will be offered in four broad trims: LXI, VXI, ZXI, and ZXI+. However, the good news is that Maruti Suzuki will now offer the CNG and automatic options in higher-spec trims.
Here are five other things you need to know about the upcoming MPV:
A Minor Exterior Refresh

The Ertiga now sports a refreshed grille without the chrome touches, flanked by a pair of revised dual-barrel projector headlights. Plus, there is a black motif on the C-pillar to give the impression of a floating roof. Apart from that, the people mover remains similar to the existing model as seen in previous pictures.
A Minor Interior Refresh
No changes seem to have been made to the Ertiga’s dashboard layout and design. But the MPV’s new addition on the inside is the updated 7-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system from the Baleno’s Zeta trim. This system gets connected car tech, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This brings us to the next point.
New Features Likely

Other new features likely to be on offer include four airbags (likely), electronic stability control, an Arkamys sound system, and cruise control. Equipment like automatic climate control, keyless entry with push-button start, a multi-info display, and rear AC vents will be retained. Passenger safety should be taken care of by ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
A Revised Powertrain

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will get a revised 1.5-litre petrol engine, paired with mild-hybrid tech and Suzuki’s DualJet technology. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard, while the 4-speed torque converter has been ditched in lieu of a more modern 6-speed torque converter with paddle shifters.
Expected Price And Rivals

The new Ertiga will command a minor premium over the current model that’s priced from Rs 8.13 lakh (ex-showroom). It will renew its rivalry with the Kia Carens, Mahindra Marazzo, and the upcoming facelifted Maruti Suzuki XL6.
