Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying Scout

Q. What would you suggest between Scout Bobber and Scout for both city as well as highway (more than 150km)
  • Both the bikes shares a same engine(V-Twin 1133 cc 95.17 bhp/97 Nm). Scout comes with 6-speed manual transmission and Scout Bobber gets 5-Speed manual transmission. So, Scout would be a better performer at highways. If you are looking for a modern classic touring motorcycle with presence and a comfortable ride, we suggest you look elsewhere. The standard Scout and the Triumph Bonneville T120 are great options. But if you do most of your riding in the city, are looking for a head turner that is also good for short weekend rides and Facebook cover photos, but is not a Forty-Eight, the Scout Bobber has a lot going for it. The Indian Scout is an American cruiser which has been recently given a complete makeover. Its classic rigid triangle design coupled with premium mono-tube rear shock absorbers offer better handling and comfort than it's siblings. Q. I am waiting to own the Scout since past 4 years. Is it really worth to own one and one main question I don't find ans any where is that. I am quite bad at controlling sporty bikes so I opt cruisers, I wanna know how good is it Road grip wise and How about brakes. I have a bad habit of using front brakes often than stamping the pedals. I want smooth stopping even at 3 digits speed. I usually don't ride harsh.. but Is it very under control ,manageable? I am confused between Scout and X diavel, Which to go for. Even suggest me any bike according to my favours as I said!! If anyone could clear all my doubts?
  • Here, Ducati XDiavel would be a better pick. The new engine is capable of delivering high torque even at low rpm and also maintaining the sporty performance as the needle reaches the redline. Power figures of the bike stand at 158PS and peak torque at 128.9Nm. Performance-wise, Ducati claims the XDiavel is capable of blistering acceleration from 0-100 kmph under 2.5 seconds and top speed of a little above 250kmph. The XDiavel is the first motorcycle by the manufacturer to feature a belt final drive. With the belt arrangement, the operation becomes silent, reliable, cleaner, safer, and easier to maintain when compared to chain final drives. Ducati has equipped the motorcycle with some notable electronics as standard equipment under the Ducati Safety Pack (DSP). The power cruiser gets cornering ABS that has been developed by Bosch to enhance the braking at both ends in crucial situations while turning. Other noteworthy equipment under the DSP is the Ducati Traction Control (DTC) system that provides eight different levels of traction control. Depending upon the setting selected, the DTC will control rear-end sliding and work as an active safety equipment. While level one is crafted for minimum intervention and is intended for expert riders, level eight, on the other hand, caters to providing more tractions for riders to build their confidence and assist in unfavourable road conditions.
