Reliable cruiser

Most reliable cruiser.Solid, High quality frame and parts as expected from kawasaki.Having a forward placed parallel twin engine, There is minimum heat felt around the thighs giving it more advantage over the popular v twin engine cruisers.Also parallel twin reduces the vibration of the vehicle, Elongating the life of all the parts.Engine mapping could have been improved as it is still sporty like the other models of kawasaki fitting with the same 650cc engine.The bike always seems to be in an accelerated mode and never seems to settle down at cruising speeds between 100 to 125 kmps.Having listed the pros here are few cons too: poor ground clearance due to bulky catalytic converter and long wheel base.Uninteresting exhaust note.Expensive spare parts.In my opinion: the most practical and reliable cruiser that is available in india at the moment if it is within the buyer's budget.

It is one of the best bikes in 650 cc cruiser segment.It has the feel of a cruiser yet a heart of a sports bike.For long trips or short fast rides, It suites and completes all your needs.Probably it has been underrated for 4 years now but once you have your eye on this, You can’t miss it and once you have your hand on it, You have to take it.

Exhaust sound

After a 2000 km ride and much more experience with Vulcan S bike. I am surprised by its performance. It is quick and fast for a cruiser. It is a sportbike with a cruiser body. Because it is an expensive bike. I just wish it has more features like riding modes etc. Builds quality is awesome. I can't feel the vibration at all. It's heavy, but again because of the low seat height. You cannot feel the weight. The con side of the bike is that I hate the exhaust sound, and there are very limited accessories in India. The maintenance is high.

  • 1. Not sure. Default configuration is 'Low Reach' which is what I needed. However, when I asked the dealer whether I need to buy an additional accessory if I need to convert it to 'Mid Reach' if needed, he didn't give a definitive answer - All he said was 'I'll get back to you'.2. Only Side-stand is available as standard.

Vulcan S Key Highlights

Price: The 2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S is priced at Rs 8,23,000 (ex-showroom). It is available in a Metallic Carbon Gray/Metallic Bluish Green colour scheme.

Design: The 2027 Vulcan S retains its long, low-slung cruiser stance. It gets a teardrop-shaped fuel tank and flowing bodywork, along with an easy-to-reach handlebar. The exposed chassis makes the bike look a bit sportier, while the underbelly exhaust goes well with the overall cruiser silhouette.

Features: The Vulcan S gets a semi-digital instrument console, which features an analogue tachometer and a digital display that shows the speed, fuel level, trip meters and gear position. It also gets adjustable clutch and brake levers as standard. Despite being a premium cruiser, there is no smartphone connectivity.

Engine: The bike is powered by a 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, producing 61 PS and 62.4 Nm. The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, and features a slip-and-assist clutch.

Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The bike is suspended on a telescopic fork and an offset rear monoshock, which is preload-adjustable. Braking duties are handled discs at both ends, with dual-channel ABS as standard. The bike rolls on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels. It is wrapped with a 120-section tyre at the front and a chunkier 160-section rubber on the rear. The bike gets an accessible seat height of 705 mm and a not-so-great ground clearance of 130 mm. At 14 litres, the fuel tank capacity is decent.

Rivals: The Vulcan S rivals the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 in the middleweight cruiser segment. These two are the only 650cc cruisers on sale right now in the country.
