South Korean automaker Hyundai has showcased the Ioniq 9 at the Auto Expo 2025, marking its first debut in India. It features a fusion of contemporary and modern design language similar to the newest electric cars from the brand. The cabin is rather minimalist and upmarket with an option of 6 or 7-seat layout. Features: The Hyundai Ioniq 9 is equipped with dual 12.3-inch curved screens for infotainment and driver display, a panoramic sunroof, an 8-speaker sound system, with an optional 14-speaker BOSE premium audio setup, multi-color ambient lighting, and wireless phone charger. It also features electrically adjustable front and second-row seats with a massage function and 180-degree rotating second-row captain seats for a lounge-like experience. Safety is addressed with Level-2 ADAS, multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD and electronic stability control (ESC).

Motor: The Hyundai Ioniq 9 is powered by a 110.3 kWh battery pack and comes in two trims: the Long-range variant, which offers both RWD and AWD options, and the Performance variant, which is AWD only. A 350 kW fast charger enables the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes. The AWD models can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.2 seconds, with a top speed of 200 kmph. The Long-range RWD trim delivers a WLTP-claimed range of 620 km.

Rivals: If launched in India, the Hyundai Ioniq 9 will rival other premium electric SUVs, including the Kia EV9, which is priced at Rs 1.3 crore (ex-showroom).
