Updated: August 2026. The Volkswagen Polo 2024 is an upcoming Hatchback expected to launch in India at an estimated ₹8 lakh (ex-showroom). It is expected to get 1.0L petrol engine, a manual transmission. Once launched, it will rival the Tata Tiago EV, Tata Altroz and Toyota Glanza.

Volkswagen has taken wraps off the facelifted Polo GTI. While design changes are similar to the standard Polo, the GTI sports red elements on the headlamps, connected DRLs, and brake callipers. It also sports wider tail lamps, redesigned bumpers, dual exhaust tips and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Mechanically, the Polo GTI will continue the pre-facelift model’s 2.0-litre TSI that produces 207PS and 320Nm. Coupled with a 7-speed DSG, power will be sent to the front two wheels.
