Tata Hexa

Tata Motors has revealed the BS6-compliant Hexa Safari Edition at Auto Expo 2020. The homegrown carmaker recently discontinued the BS4 Hexa, which will be succeeded by its BS6 sibling. The Tata Hexa BS6 was expected to hit showrooms after April 2020. However, due to the nationwide lockdown to contain the coronavirus pandemic, the launch has been delayed. We expect the BS6-compliant Hexa to reach showrooms by the end of 2020. It’ll be offered in manual, automatic, and all-wheel drive variants.

The BS6-compliant Hexa will continue to utilise the existing 2.2-litre Varicor engine that’s likely to develop 156PS and 400Nm. It’ll be offered in manual, automatic, and all-wheel drive variants.

The Hexa Safari Edition will be based on the all-wheel drive model and features minor cosmetic enhancements to make it look tougher. Inside, it comes with a black-beige interior colour scheme.

The BS6-compliant Hexa is likely to start from Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom). It will lock horns with MPVs such as the Toyota Innova Crysta and Mahindra Marazzo. The Hexa also rivals the Mahindra XUV500.
