The limited edition model gets cosmetic additions in the form of an accessory kit

Tata Tigor Buzz

Tata has launched a limited ‘Buzz’ edition of the Tigor to celebrate one year of it being in the market. This special edition come only with the XT variant which sits in the middle of the Tigor range. Also, the Buzz will only be available with the manual variant of the Tigor and not with the AMT automatic. The Tata Tigor Buzz Edition is prices at Rs 5.68 lakh for the petrol and Rs 6.75 lakh for the diesel (ex-showroom Delhi). These prices are Rs 12,000 more expensive than the standard variants. Here is what you get for the extra moolah:

Exteriors

  • Glossy black-painted roof
  • Piano black ORVMs
  • Dual-tone wheel cover
  • Front grille with red inserts
  • Limited edition badge

Interiors

  • Red surrounds on AC vents
  • Premium fabric seats

For Rs 12,000, the kit offered seems legit and will help your car stand out. We wish the same was also offered on the top variant, or at least with the AMT. And though the basic features like a manual AC, audio system with USB, AUX and Bluetooth, steering mounted audio and phone controls, central locking with flip key, electric adjustment for ORVMs and driver seat height adjust are part of the XT variant, you do miss out on features like projector headlamps, touchscreen, airbags, rear camera or even a rear defogger. You also have to make do with only 4 speakers (no tweeters).

Tata Tigor Buzz

The Tigor is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol motor which makes 85PS @ 6000rpm and 114Nm @ 3500rpm. It is this petrol motor which comes with an optional 5-speed AMT in the XT and XZ variants, but not in the top XZ(O). The diesel engine is a smaller 1.0-litre unit which makes 70PS @4000rpm and 140Nm @ 1800-3000rpm. It is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The Tigor comes loaded with features in the top variant like a brilliant 8-speaker Harman audio system, a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, reverse camera and automatic climate control. Another standout feature is the 4 bar mechanism for the boot, which helps give it a massive luggage carrying capacity of 419 litres. In terms of safety, the top variant comes with dual airbags, ABS & EBD with CSC (corner stability control).

Tata Tigor Buzz

The Tigor is supposed to rival the band of sub-4 metre sedans but is more of a rival to the mid-segment hatchbacks in terms of pricing. Its range starts from Rs 4.84 lakh and goes up to Rs 7.19 lakh for the top end diesel (ex-showroom, Delhi).
