The new entry-level Corporate Edition variant is essentially a cut-price Kodiaq Style

  • Skoda is expected to reintroduce the Style variant with the usual pricing next month.
  • There are no changes whatsoever between the Corporate and Style variants.
  • The Corporate Edition is available to new buyers and not exclusive to existing Skoda owners.
  • The reduced price tag is only valid until September 30.

Skoda’s flagship SUV, the Kodiaq, was previously available in two variants -- Style and L&K. The Czech carmaker has silently renamed the Style variant and is now calling it the Corporate Edition. What you get with the name, though, is an attractive price tag of Rs 32.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The renamed variant is Rs 2.37 lakh more affordable than the previous entry-level Style variant. But the catch is that the pricing is only valid till September 30.

Variant Corporate Edition L&K
Price Rs 32.99 lakh
(valid till September 30)
Rs 36.78 lakh

With the update, the Kodiaq is currently available in only two variants -- Corporate Edition and L&K. The Corporate Edition is the entry-level variant as of now and Skoda is expected to reintroduce the Kodiaq Style with the usual pricing of Rs 35.36 lakh by next month. What this essentially means for customers is that Skoda is offering the Style variant with a heavy discount of Rs 2.37 lakh for a month. Also note that the Corporate Edition is available to all buyers and is not exclusive to existing Skoda owners.

The price cut doesn't come as a result of feature omission. The Corporate Edition is exactly similar to the Style variant in every way. It also gets the same goodies like the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 10-speaker canton sound system. wireless phone charging, 12-way adjustable driver seat, three-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, and more.

The 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine in the Kodiaq produces 150PS of power and 340Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox that sends power to all four wheels. With the price cut in place, the entry-level Kodiaq Corporate Edition is now more closely positioned to its rivals, the Toyota Fortuner (Rs 27.8 lakh to Rs 33.8 lakh) and the Ford Endeavour ( Rs 28.20 lakh to Rs 33.70 lakh). Meanwhile, Skoda is all set to introduce the off-road centric Kodiaq Scout in India soon.
