The compact SUV space is among the most competitive categories in the Indian automobile market. The segment is fiercely contested with every player using different strategies to draw buyers to its fold. While some are offering attractive discounts on their SUVs, others are doing aggressive promotions to whip up interest and demand.

Amid all such ongoing tactics, Renault Kiger has once again proved that there is no replacement for genuine quality and customer-centric practices. Renault is the No.1 European brand in India and its Kiger SUV has shattered all popularity records since its launch in February 2021. The 2022 Renault Kiger, which was launched in India just a couple of months ago, gets even more features and stylistic updates to make it a truly incredible value for money proposition.
The Renault Kiger has already proven its solid safety credentials by bagging a 4-star rating in Adult Occupant Safety in Global NCAP. And now, it has earned yet another feather in its cap with the JD Power 2021 India Initial Quality Study (IQS) ranking it second among compact SUVs. Renault Kiger scored 124 in the survey to earn the second spot for initial quality by beating the competition hands down.

J.D. Power is the most coveted quality rating system in the country and for their 2021 study, the company has collaborated with NielsenIQ and sampled all prominent vehicles across categories from popular car brands. By securing the second spot in the compact SUV category, Kiger has once again proved Renault’s unwavering commitment toward quality and its focus to bring the best products to the Indian market.
It is worth noting that in the past too, Renault Kiger bagged multiple awards on parameters of quality and reliability. And now this latest one, from the house of the trusted J.D. Power research agency, takes the credibility of the SUV to a different level altogether. Renault Kiger features a flamboyant SUV design and comes equipped with a long list of comfort and safety features.

The compact SUV is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine that is available in two states of tune: a naturally aspirated one with 72PS/96Nm, and the other a turbocharged version with 100PS/up to 160Nm. The transmission choices include a manual gearbox as well as AMT and CVT automatic options. Renault Kiger delivers best-in-class fuel efficiency of 20.5 kmpl and is exported to a number of different countries abroad where it’s been receiving equally enthusiastic responses from buyers.
