You might want to take these prototype pictures with a pinch of salt though, as the model looks largely similar to the current gen Macan. For reference, the A6 e-tron concept gets a 100kWh battery pack which will help it cover over 700km on a full charge and support fast-charging up to 270kW (like the e-tron GT). So expect big batteries and long range capabilities. The Macan EV will also use the Taycan’s 800-volt architecture, which should translate to fast charging capabilities. In the A6 e-tron concept, fast charging for 15 minutes can get you a range of upto 300km.

Porsche will sell the Macan EV alongside the standard second-gen model. Speaking of the second-gen  Macan, Porsche will introduce it later this year. Back home, we’ve already got the standard Macan with the spicier GTS and Turbo variants expected soon. There’s no word on when we’ll get the next-gen model or the electrified Macan, but we think it’ll be a long wait. It rivals the Jaguar F-Pace, and the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe
