BMW has announced that it will launch the all-new BMW 7 Series in India at the Indian Auto Expo in February 2016. The new car will be a direct competitor to the likes of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the Audi A8 and even the likes of the new Maserati Quattroporte. The new BMW 7 Series will come crammed pack with a ton of gizmos to give it an edge over its competition and will also be available with two engine options, a petrol and a diesel.
The new 7 Series comes with gizmos like a self park assist system, driver assisted autonomous driving, Sky lounge panoramic sunroofs and even laser headlamps. The 7 Series also comes with a smart touchcreen key that lets you control several aspects of the car and even lets the 7 Series automatically reverse out of a tight spot all by itself without a driver being present. The new 7 Series is also very comfortable both in the front and the back with a ton of standard equipment like cooled and massage seats along with the likes of a touchscreen control panel between the two rear seats that controls all the aspects of the car.

Coming to engines, the new 7 Series will come with two engine options, the 750Li, which is a petrol and the diesel 730Ld. Both these engine optioned cars will come fully loaded with tech with the Ld also possibly getting a slightly cheaper version with less standard equipment. Of course, it is highly unlikely that India will get the X-Drive version of the 7 Series with the all-wheel-drive system as it will be more expensive than the standard rear-wheel-drive versions. Expect the diesel to be priced at about Rs 1.0-1.2 Crore and the petrol to cost between Rs 1.3-1.5 Crore.
