Hyundai Verna Automatic To Be Available In New Variants Soon

Hyundai Verna buyers looking for an automatic need not compromise on features anymore!

The Hyundai Verna will get new automatic variants in its lineup soon. The Verna petrol AT will soon be available in one-below-the-top SX+ trim, while the Verna diesel AT will be available in the top-of-the-line SX (O) trim.

Expected prices:

Verna AT Petrol SX+: Rs 11.33 lakh
Verna AT Diesel SX (O): Rs 14.31 lakh

The Hyundai Verna ATs will use the same powertrain as before. The new petrol AT SX+ will be powered by a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated motor developing 123PS of maximum power and 151Nm of peak torque, paired with a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The Hyundai Verna petrol-AT SX+ will get some additional features too, like a ‘smart’ keyless entry system with push-button start/stop, wireless mobile charging pad and a ‘smart’ trunk. Besides these, it will carry forward other features like projector headlamps with LED DRLs and cornering lamps, LED taillamps, 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, leather-wrapped gear knob and steering wheel, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirrorlink, electric sunroof and a rear manual curtain.

The new diesel-AT SX (O) will be powered by a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged motor developing 128PS of maximum power and 260Nm of peak torque, paired to a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The Verna diesel-AT SX (O), meanwhile, will get features like wireless mobile charging pad and telescopic steering. This is in addition to all-black interiors and leatherette upholstery with blue contrast stitching.

The addition of the new automatic variants will help Hyundai attract more customers who would have otherwise gone for the Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Toyota Yaris, Volkswagen Vento or the Skoda Rapid.
