Hyundai has introduced a new Pro Pack for the Exter, priced from Rs 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The update gives the micro SUV additional exterior accessories and also adds a new Titan Grey Matte colour option, a shade that was until now reserved for the larger Creta and Alcazar. Alongside these, Hyundai has extended the availability of the dashcam to more variants than before.
With the Pro Pack, the Exter now gets bolder wheel arch claddings and a side silver sill garnish, lending it a slightly more rugged appeal. The Titan Grey Matte shade joins the colour lineup, taking the total number of exterior paint choices to eight, which also include options like Fiery Red, Starry White, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black and Shadow Grey.
The dashcam, which was earlier limited to the SX Tech, SX (O) Connect and SX (O) Connect Knight Edition trims, is now also being offered with the SX (O) AMT variant.
Inside, the Exter continues to be loaded with features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a semi-digital driver’s display, a single-pane sunroof, cruise control, a wireless phone charger and automatic climate control. On the safety front, Hyundai offers six airbags as standard, along with ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child seat mounts, rain-sensing wipers and a rear parking camera with sensors.

Under the hood, the Exter is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 83 PS and 114 Nm, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. For those looking at a more frugal option, Hyundai also offers a CNG variant of the same engine that puts out 69 PS and 95 Nm, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The new Pro Pack doesn’t bring drastic changes, but the matte finished Titan Grey shade surely adds a premium touch usually seen on Hyundai’s bigger SUVs. With the dashcam now accessible on more trims, the Exter becomes an even more practical choice for urban buyers as an alternative to options like the Tata Punch while also serving as an alternative to other compact offerings like the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Toyota Taisor and Maruti Fronx.
