Ford Fiesta gets a makeover

Ford India has just spruced up its popular Fiesta range.

In addition to the current variants the latest avatar badged as the 1.6 S comes out as the sportiest model in the line up.

To distinguish it Ford has shod the car with new 15 inch alloy wheels as against the standard 14 inch wheels which come with the other variants. The car now sports a complete body kit with a racy looking spoiler completing the looks.

The suspension setup has also been fiddled with so that the handling now compliments the cars sporty demeanor. The instrument cluster also receives similar treatment along with some distinguished badging adding to the sporty intent. The 1.6 S also features a distinct new color which is not available in the other variants - Aquarius. The car gets a new liquid metal audio surround, centre console finishes and metallic highlights. Sporty Aluminum pedals are now used highlighting the sporty intent.

Apart from the new variant the existing range also gets a makeover. The exterior changes include all new front bumpers and grilles with a bold larger opening along with freshly styled headlamps and tail lamps. A mirror mounted turn indicator available only in the SXI model and new design wheel covers are some of the additional changes made.

The changes have been carried over to the insides as well with the seats having donned all new fabrics and colors and the instrument cluster now featuring a honeycomb graphic theme with bezel highlights.

The midlife makeover has definitely added some much needed oomph to the already feisty Fiesta and made it an even stronger contender in the mid-size segment.
