Rejoice, enthusiast friends on a budget. The 123PS Ford EcoSport is now available with all the goodies of the top-of-the-line Titanium+ variant with a petrol, 5-speed manual transmission. Earlier, the manual was only available till the Titanium variant. This means you can now have features like the bigger 17-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, side and curtain airbags, auto dimming IRVM, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, rear view camera and glove box illumination.
The Petrol 6-speed AT is priced at Rs 11.3 lakhs, which means that the 5-speed manual is Rs 80,000 less expensive. The petrol engine in question here is Ford’s latest three-cylinder 1.5-litre Ti-VCT motor which produces 123PS of power and 150Nm of torque. The company also claims a 7 per cent reduction in CO2 emissions and a fuel efficiency of 17kmpl. The diesel option is also a 1.5-litre TDCi engine with 100PS/205Nm under its belly and a claimed fuel efficiency of 23kmpL.
“Since the new Ford EcoSport was introduced, our customers have been demanding a top-of-the-line Titanium+ petrol manual variant, offering enhanced safety with six airbags,” said Rahul Gautam, vice president marketing at Ford India. “In our commitment to meet customer demands, we are pleased to introduce this variant and offer a greater choice to our customers.”
Other features in the flagship EcoSport include an all-black cabin, 8-inch touchscreen with Ford's SYNC 3 Infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the Ford Focus' steering wheel, tire pressure monitoring system and safety features like Emergency Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control System and Hill Launch Assist.
The EcoSport is available in 5 variants - Ambient, trend, trend+, Titanium and Titanium+, with prices starting from Rs 7.77 lakh to Rs 11.30 lakh, ex-showroom pan-India.
