It will have a curved design with a minimalistic front end and a sculpted rear.
Features will include a dual-screen MBUX setup, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and Mercedes Me connected car technology.
Petrol and diesel engines will be on offer, as well as the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol AMG A35.
Prices likely to start from Rs 35 lakh.
After what was an extensive delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mercedes-Benz will finally launch the A-Class Limousine in the country on March 25. It will be the carmaker’s newest entry-level sedan for India and a successor to the A-Class hatchback and CLA sedan. Here’s what you can expect:

On the outside, it’ll sport a curved front fascia, wraparound LED headlamps, and a minimalistic front grille. Despite the high roofline, it will be a proper five seater. A sculpted rear bumper and trendy taillamps will top off the sedan’s look.

The A-Class Limousine will be packed with features such as dual-screens with the latest MBUX infotainment system, Mercedes Me connected car tech, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, electronically adjustable seats with memory function and dual-zone automatic climate control. Seven airbags, a reversing camera, and lane keep assist will be some of the safety equipment on offer.

Under the hood, the A-Class Limousine will be powered by a 1.3-litre petrol and 2.0-litre diesel engine. While the former will push out 163PS and 250Nm, the latter will generate 150PS and 320Nm. Transmission options will include a 7-speed DCT (for the petrol engine) and an 8-speed DCT (for the diesel motor).
The A-Class Limousine will also be offered in the spicier AMG A35 trim, which will utilise a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine generating 306PS and 400Nm, paired to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The AMG model will likely be a locally assembled one.

Chances are there would only be the ‘Progressive Line’ on offer, a single, fully-loaded variant.Prices are likely to start at Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom). The Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine will square off against the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe and the upcoming 2021 Audi A3.
