The Hyundai Elantra diesel is offered with a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre unit that develops 115PS of power and 250Nm of torque. Yes, this is the same engine that’s found under the hood of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Just like both the SUVs, the Elantra can be had with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter. It must be mentioned that the figures are 13PS and 10Nm lower than the earlier 1.6-litre unit which developed 128PS and 260Nm.
