BMW will launch the facelifted 6 Series Gran Coupe in India this week to compete against the Audi A7 and Mercedes-Benz CLS Class

BMW India will launch the 6 Series Gran Coupe facelift this Friday with minor cosmetic upgrades as the 2015 model year car is rolled out across BMW markets. The 6 Series Gran Coupe will continue to come with the 3.0-litre inline six cylinder twin turbo diesel engine.

The major changes on the 2015 model year 6 Series Gran Coupe is the new design for the kidney grille, reworked headlamp cluster that now has LED lights and new multispoke 20 inch alloy wheels. The 6 Series Gran Coupe has always had a fantastic stance and these new set of alloys accentuate it even more. The front get rear bumpers get a slight rethink as well.

An optional twin colour theme is offered internationally but considering the 6 Series Gran Coupe is offered in only one variant here, it could come as standard. Quality of materials is said to have improved and heads up display is the added feature on the updated car.

Under the hood of the 640d 6 Series Gran Coupe is the same 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline six cylinder diesel motor. It develops 317PS of power and 630Nm of torque to the rear wheels via a 8-speed automatic gearbox. Expect ex-showroom price to be marginally north of a Crore. The 6 Series Gran Coupe will take on the Audi A7 and Mercedes CLS in the four door luxury Coupe segment.
